Fabric shopping

Gay Naffine Private Label fabric sellout. How could I resist?! Only added 17.5 metres to my fabric stash.

So what treasures did I add to my stash?

These are both wool knits, the one on the left is felted with red bobbles and the one on the right is a doubled faced knit. At this stage the red bobbles will probably end up as a skirt and the double faced knit as a reversible jacket ( but the longer they mature in the stash the less likely this is to happen). Even the selvedge on the grey with red bobbles is great. Perhaps it wants to be a Chanel style jacket? Or could I use that for the bottom of the skirt?

Another lot of wool knits in lighter weights. The zigzag stripe one looks even better IRL because the stripes are bronzey gold. I think that will be a dress. The two solid on the right are probably going to end up as jackets, wraps or cardigans. I don’t know about the top left stripes, but stripes are good staples.

A beautiful Italian stretch wool woven in grey ( a smart shift dress for work?), a sheer silk cotton blend ( that’s my hand you can see) and a crinkled wool knit in purple.
